THE IDEA OF SOME KIND OF SLAVIC SOLIDARITY OR SLAVIC UNITY ALREADY EXISTED
EARLIER. THE FIRST SLAVIC CONFERENCE HELD IN PRAGUE IN (2-12TH JUNE) 1848. THE
IDEA NEVER TOOK ON LIFE. HOWEVER.. TODAY WE LIVE IN A DIFFERENT EUROPE, AND ANY
KIND OF SLAVIC SOLIDARITY THESE DAYS CAN BE MORE CULTURAL THAN ANYTHING ELSE,
RESPECTING THE DEMOCRATIC VALUE OF TODAY, OF COURSE. BUT.. ALL SLAVONIC STATES
ARE EUROPEAN STATES AND BY SOME LOGIC BEFORE OR LATER THEY SHOULD BECOME
MEMBERS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION. I BELIEVE THE SLAVS, AS THE BIGGEST ETHNIC AND
LINGUISTIC BODY OF EUROPE, CAN BE PRESENT IN THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT THROUGH
SOME DEMOCRATIC ASSOCIATION WHICH WILL PRESENT THEIR CULTURAL INTERESTS.
